Terribly Poetic

I couldn’t help but scan this in and post it here. Anyone that appreciates good corporate logo design, branding, etc, etc, will know that this is the worst display of design. I thought I’d seen it all, what with some terrible stuff produced by evangelical churches, and the many examples of Jesus Junk, such as this one, I posted about awhile back. However, I can finally say that this bad design, isn’t from the church. It’s just plan hilarious.

Some good friends of ours, Darrell and Jessica Braun, are currently in the process of adopting twin girls from Ghana. I am helping where I can with this great event and would love to see you all out on January 9th, 2010. Even if you don’t know them, you can come hear a great band, eat some Steak and bid in the silent auction and know that you are supporting a great cause. Adoption is such a wonderful thing, in fact I believe that more of us need to adopt, but I won’t get into that now. Please check out the facebook page for info. Oh, and I almost forgot to mention, one of my ways of helping was to design this poster. What do you think of it? Would you buy it if the graphic was re-purposed for a t-shirt?

I got the chance to do up another poster for a concert coming up at the YFC Building. This time it is a benefit concert to help 3 nursing students travel to India to help in a hospital. While I am not super pleased with the results, it is what came after very short amount of time spent on it. I’d love your comments. I would encourage you all the check out the concert. I really love my iPhone, but when I saw this very special phone online, I think the iPhone might be beat. Be sure to explore all the features of the phone and make sure you click on the “I’ve Seen Enough” or the “Release Date” when done exploring.

Saw this pic and thought it was a perfect example of the downfalling of the economy. Not only is the store shown as FOR LEASE, but the sign missing lights is hilarious. Maybe with the crappy economy, that spending all our money on expensive coffee is one of the first luxuries to fall. Personally, I love a great cup of coffee, but I will admit that much better coffee can be had at local coffee shops around the city or even better, and cheaper, is to make your own coffee at home.
